Coach Jay Darneal is now in his second year with Klein Oak High School and the baseball coaching staff.
Coach Darneal is a proud Klein ISD graduate. He previously worked at Peet JH (alongside fellow Panther football/track coach Aaron Shock) where he coached football, track, and basketball. He then went to Klein Collins where he coached baseball. He has lived in Houston, Galveston, Huntsville, San Antonio, Gulf Breeze (FL), and Atlanta (GA).
Coach Darneal has one daughter (Kayde) who is 11, goes to school in Cy Fair ISD and plays softball and volleyball. He has 3 sisters (Stephanie, Samantha, Emily) and 3 brothers (Cody, Chad, David). His mother is Julie Besson and his father is Eddie Darneal.
His coaching goal is to turn each kid into a better baseball player, better person, and of course win!
